I used the font tool to make this project, with help from the character tool to change the fonts. I also used the selection tools to make my body lighter then the background, so it'd look better. Then, to finish the project off I used the gradient tool to add a darker edges on both sides of the cover to see the text better. I learned that magazine cover take a lot of work, and there are millions of little details to make the cover look better, even if you don't notice them, one being the gradient tool; you can hardly tell it's there, but it makes a huge difference. For layer styles, some of the words (like fresh spring style) have a drop shadow affect, this makes it (in some areas) easier to read (like on my light skin). I also have a bunch of different layer styles where I adjusted the brightness/contrast and vibrance, on me and the background.
